A few weeks away........
I suggest we have a dinner meet to discuss any details etc for the trip, especially for any newbies. I know Ron is on his Honeymoon so if he want to organize upon his return or I would be happy to do so.
Also I have the Agenda we have used in the past and would be happy to update it for this years trip.
Is the roll Call up to date as far as who is actually attending and who is not? Did Metcalfe ever commit?

I just returned from a business trip in the Pilot and stopped at the Jasper (Hwy 129) exit and they have a new Loves Gas Station at the NE corner of the Intersection, basically right across the street from the Gas Station where we normally meet the Jax Crew. Assuming we are still meeting at this exit I suggest we meet at the Loves this year, more gas pumps, new clean restrooms, etc.

It's time to start registering and getting ready for our annual trip to Tail of the Dragon. The event is from April 10-13th but our group leaves on the 9th which is a Wednesday and we drive back home on Sunday the 13th. Our group we be leaving at 7am on the 9th from Cracker Barrel in Brooksville. We will then drive to Dillard, Ga to spend the night at the Dillard House. The next morning we will start driving the fun roads leading to the Dragon and arrive at Fontana Village for the weekend. Please post up if you can join us and let me know when you have officially paid for your registration. I will be contacting Dillard house to get us a group rate so we can reserve our rooms there. I also wanted to mention you are welcome to invite friends to this event. Last year we had some guests with us who really had a great time. This is a trip you dont want to miss.

Inside 2 weeks until we roll
I assume we will follow our usual plan, meeting at the CB at I-75 & Hwy 98 to depart at 7:00 AM?
If so is anyone planning on meeting early (6:00AM) to have breakfast?
Meeting the Jacksonville crew at I-75 & Hwy 129 (Jasper exit) then taking the "backroads" to Dillard?
I realize we are all free to do what ever we want but just curious what everyone is planning for Thursday after we get checked in at Fontana?
1) Dragon runs (obviously)
2) Trip to Gatlinburg to meet the OKI crew for dinner at the Park Grill (Departs at 1:00PM) Night run back across the Dragon.
3) Dinner at the Mountview at Fontana (6:00PM)
4) Stargazing drive on the Cherohala Skyway (departs @ 9:00PM)
Just curious what everyone is thinking.
Also what about Friday and Saturday?

I might drive over to Pigen forge on Friday. Saturday morning I'm leading a group drive. I'm open to whatever seems fun. Yes Barry I will be at Cracker Barrel for breakfast at 6am. Same plan as always
