Default Required service lite flashing

Hey all i have the required serv mantaince lite flash when i start the car...my oil was chacked and added. I just went over 51k....could it be a mileage thing..cause i bought the car at 46-7k miles and everything was already looked at by the dealer when i bought it.

The maintenance light is just that and is lit approx. 3,500 miles after it is reset. If someone else changed your oil, they probably didn't reset it if it was done recently. If you changed your oil, then it is pretty obvious that you didn't reset it.

to reset:
with car off, press and hold the right button on the face of the speedo (I forget the name of the button, but it may be the trip button).
With the other hand, turn the key then start the car all the while holding the button.

When the light goes out, you can release the button and you should be good for another interval.

If it's the check engine light, go to a dealer.

I changed the oil with help about 2 months ago.....
And it only the serv reqir'd lite.

Well dayum that was convenient. Kuhn forgot to reset mine last Wed. and thought I was going to have to root around up here to find the info. I hope they didn't forget anything else.....new sealing washers on oil pan, MT, tighten drain bolts oil pan, MT........new oil after drained, new MT fluid.

oh ill get another ..no biggie thanx bro..but i might want to drop by and install my seat locks....it looks simple to do, i just havent bought a torque wrench yet..1 of a hundred things to do on my list..
