John did that call ever come in?? Any new news?
nope , made another call to Honda to let them know this is really pissing me off and that they (honda ) is gong to lose a VERY good customer as I have owned 14 Honda cars plus other Hondas and most of my freinds and family own them. My freinds and family are very influenced by what I say about cars since that was my thing for 10 years.

[QUOTE=JohnsS2000,Apr 7 2009, 06:13 PM] That cros bar on my brothers 2006 is smooth, the frame though , it has a sharp area on it

This part here is the issue not the bar. It looks like the bars would be the issue but if you look at the top when it is half down then the worn spots do not line up with the bends in the bar. They continue to get cose in line with the back edge of the frame the farther back the top gets.

the funny thing is when is was arguing the issue with the Honda rep he

A) Told me this was not a common problem AT ALL.
B) Told me it was normal wear and tear and that wear and tear was not covered.
C) Told me it was not a design problem but due to lack of maintenec.

It really pissed him off in 3/2007 when I told him that i could have 30 plus cars at the shop in n hour with the same problem

Really Really pissed him off when I told him that the 2001 that had been taken care of exactly the same as the 2006 with the problem has the OEM top from 2001 when built and has never had this issue. He then went and ordered the top.

This time around he has yet to return a call after 3 calls to Honda corperate and the dealer is trying to say that IF they do anything it will be done as "good will"
