well i am not 100% sure if it will get totalled but it has a good chance of it. i was leaving a neighborhood last night where a buddy was doing a burnout when we all split a truck followed me down starkey towards park blvd. i took off into my buddies neighborhood on my way to drop him off and the truck was still right behind me... my mistake i took a road with speed humps so i couldnt go too fast. i went to make a right hand turn down another street and my car slid into a tree demolishing my right front fender and wheel and all my suspension. after the impact the man stepped out of his truck with a baseball bat and began to walk to my car and i reversed and tried to pull away but didnt get far with how my front end was looking. i immidaitely got out of my car and called the cops they showed up while he still had his bat out got his story and let him go. they wanted to give me a field sobriety test which was not a problem i was fine. i had the car towed to my house. he did not ticket myself or the other guy. when i went to close the top the latches didnt meet where they are supposed to lock... which make me think the body and frame is tweaked... also airbags deployed... no injuries just sore and my face burn from the airbags... i am hoping that it wont be totalled but i will just have to wait and see. i am trying to figure out if there is a way to have the guy chasing me to have to pay for the damages due to chasing me and aggrevated assault... does anyone have any clue on this type of stuff this is my first and only accident still no tickets knock on wood.

WOW what a crazy story! Sorry to hear about your car.. What was the deal with the guy in the truck? Was he just following you because of the burnout or whatever? Surely there must have been some time between you wrecking and the cops showing up..

it all happened very fast there must have been a cop around the corner about 1 minute after i said the street names i heard sirens... nothing happened to the guy he actually wa told to leave and came back to change his story about who was driving... i think i am going to have his insurance pay for my damage due to his immature way of handlking with threatening me with a bat and chasing me the police report has all that info and i think it can go against him i have a clean record with license and insurance and def dont need a hefty claim like this going through

Who's your insurance provider? I had a $12k claim after I totalled my car into a concrete light post (17, no ticket, clean record), so the same situation basically, but my State Farm insurance didn't go up a dime besides removing my Steer Clear discount. Hell, I still have my accident free discount! Not sure why they didn't rape me after that but I am very thankful I have State Farm..

He might be too old to blog on myspace and play Gears of War 2 on XBL..

He just totalled his car I don't think flaming him is going to help anything. Thanks.
