Time to get registered and start planning for Wake the Dragon 8

WTD8 2010 (Wake the Dragon 2010), our 8th annual Honda S2000 event on the famous Dragon! 318 curves in 11 miles and plenty of opportunity to socialize with other S2000 enthusiasts. Located in the beautiful mountains of NC/TN, this is an event not to be missed! (Links to Dragon area information are listed below)
Our event starts April 22nd (Thursday) and ends on April 25th (Sunday). A quick itinerary is included below (a complete detailed itinerary will be emailed to you before the event).
This year's event will feature all-inclusive ticket pricing. Details below:

Includes: Dinner on Friday, Lunch on Saturday, Dinner on Saturday (Fontana Village Resort), Event T-Shirt, Magnet, Lanyard with Nametag and applicable PayPal/Google Checkout Fees.

Thursday, April 22nd - First official day of the event. Many folks come early to get some great runs on the Dragon. WTD8 2010 Staff will be arriving on this day and available for any questions, etc. Not a whole lot is organized on this day, so plan on lunch and dinner to be on your own. Lots of choices on Fontana's property or nearby in Robbinsville.
Friday, April 23rd - Lots of Dragon driving and be sure to check out surrounding roads for a great time. More folks will arrive on this day. Plan to attend the gathering which will be held at Wildwood Grill. We'll have tables set up. Be sure to wear your lanyard and nametag to join in (this will serve as your MEAL pass for the event weekend). Lots of great times to be had.
Saturday, April 24th- The official "DAY" of the event. We'll roll out from Fontana as a large S2000 group - great for video lovers and those wanting great pics of all the S2000s. Dragon driving...and lots of it is on the agenda. Lunch will be provided by Deal's Gap. Check out a variety of Group Drives (these will be organized drives on various roads surrounding the Dragon). If you choose not to do any of the drives, you are welcome to continue driving the Dragon, explore the area on your own or go back to relax at Fontana. Dinner will be served at the Fontana Resort. We'll enjoy a banquet style dinner.
Sunday, April 25th- Say goodbye to fellow S2000 enthusiasts. Some folks will be driving the Dragon (I know, we're crazy people), but the majority will be leaving on this day.
For our local group, we will follow the same plan used in years past. We will depart early Thursday (4/22) and drive the back road scenic route to North Georgia (Dillard) and overnight at the Dillard house. Friday morning the real fun begins with War Woman road, mini dragon etc. on our way to Fontana Village where we will arrive around noon and join our fellow S2K brethren for Dragon runs, the friday evening get together etc.
Last year we dis our own group drive on Saturday and we could do the same thing or join in with another organized drive.
Last year I had a Cabin with a kitchen, living room etc. and we had an impromptu Saturday night after dinner get together/party and would like to see if this year’s group is interested in expanding this. I have not booked my room at Fontana yet and will be waiting to see how the group wants to proceed before booking.
This is one of the best times you can have with your S, if you have never been I highly recommend it.
More details on departure location, time etc. as the date gets closer. Also once we have a head count i will contact Dillard house to arrange a group rate for Thursday evening. For planning purposes I remember it being in the $70 range.

You got it Pappa Bar. I have reserved my room at Fontana. Will be reserving Dillard House room soon. I am in for this. 2 yrs in a row I had to back out. NOT THIS YEAR. I would like to teach Stephanie to drive the S so she can take a slow dragon run.
I'll be there, I still haven't booked anything due to I need to satisfy SPGP obligations first. I plan on just driving up on Thursday to Fontana and possibly leaving Saturday afternoon.
I'm in for sure and probably +1. I'm waiting untill after the weekend on my +1 to see if she is come to register. Dont want a heart shaped jacuzzi just for myself
