Default 1/8 mile at the Hill

I am heading to Union Hill on Tuesday night to run my car with it's current somewhat unknown setup.

My car has...
K&N FIPK intake, after market throttle body (bronze colored unknown brand)- oem header - test pipe - shorty muffler - and a spa yellow valve cover ( I know this probly adds 8 HP )
Possibly some other engine work but I just don't know.

The car is quick but doesn't seem super fast to me but all I really can compare it too is all the motorcycles I have owned. It feels about as fast as my KTM 625 super moto but the KTM only tops out at about 110mph.

I bought this car in Atlanta from a guy that got it on auction in Alabama. You probly saw my other thread in search of parts because it has a lot of oem emisions parts missing that I am getting Accurate/Hondawill to put back close to stock.

What should an 1/8 mile time be for a stock S2k?
Any thoughts on what I might expect with the mods listed above?

Any tricks or recommendations for getting a good start in the S?

I'm not sure of 1/8 mile times, but don't expect much as the S is by no means a drag car.

There are lots of mixed thoughts and feelings about launching an S, of which I, personally, have to go with the general consensus of don't (specifically in a drag scenario where the goal is to get traction in vtec), especially with an OEM diff.
I've launched very lightly at auto-x and still was uncomfortable with it, most likely because I'm part of the pwnd diff club, but my cryo-diff felt very strong throughout.

Just take it upon yourself as to if you want to do so or not, I know a lot of people do.
Also, take the first couple practice runs easy if you've never raced on a real strip before. It scared the shit out of my friend in his E36 who wasn't expecting it to be so f'ing grippy.

Oh... I don't plan on burning clutch plates or Tires, so I guess that question didn't really need to be asked.

'll probly just let it out slow and give it WOT FTW!

I'll try to remember to get a pic of the Throttle Body when I get home. Although I don't think I can post pics not being a member and all. But I should probly pull the trigger on that so I can.

i used to go to the fairgrounds during the summer on their 1/8th track. i launched at 6K and so much was going on but I think i topped out 3rd gear around 89 before you have to slam on the brakes because the oval was coming up fast.

get the IPOD Touch or IPHONE dyno app and do some unofficial test runs
