Default Fellow S2K Owners

First off I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone here. I am a new owner of 2000 S2K, Silverstone, so I thought I would introduce myself and say hello. I have a 2001 Miata and decided to step up to what I always drolled over when they first came out.

Second, I am also a officer with the local AutoX region of the SCCA. I know there was a thread about the TRSCCA but it is over a year old so I thought I would re-invite the local S2K owners back out this season to give AutoX a try. We are doing some new thing to try to better help out the new guys to give them a better 1st experience. Below is a link to the TRSCCA website, this years schedule is also there.

My wife still isn't thrilled with the S2K (she don't drive it) compared to the Miata but I can't seem to get her to understand the performance difference between the two. But I do and let me say they are two completely different birds IMO. I should have been more patient last year before I bought the Miata but I enjoyed the car and they are excellent cars if your not looking for alot of performance.

I've driven a Miata before... fun car, but just feel sluggish in the power dept. I have no doubt they are a blast to drive though on some twisty roads.

Out of curiosity did you use to hang out up at Percy Priest Dam before they changed the whole parking lot around? I ask because I also ride a sportbike and used to hang out up there some and there was a guy with a sweet black S2K that used to come up there to pose not that I blame him.
