Default Gas Situation

So I HAD to get gas this morning and of course there is only 87 in town right now. I had to get it, but I also got an octane booster and put that in the tank. Will that actually work, or at least help?

No not really. Running on 87 octane is going to be ok. The stock ECU will listen for knock and pull timing if there is any sounds of it. 93 lets the computer use full advantage of the octane and let the car have the most amount of timing. Also most octane boosters say they raise the level by points. 1 point is .1 . So if you have something that says 5 points you have 87.5 octane.

I've got a 1/4 tank and if I can't find 93 tomorrow I'm taking vacation until then. If work don't like it then tuff!

Pinging... is bad. You don't want to ping even a little. Just stay out of VTEC.

^ There's always 93 by Opryland. The Citgo right off Briley.
