Couple questions.

1. What is required documentation when you register your car? What if I wanted to register my car at my in-laws..using their address?

2. Are there any private emissions testing facilities?

1. I didn't provide anything when I reg'd mine at my cousins. (which is good, since I didn't have anything)
A. But I have heard of them asking for a bill/license showing address and your name. (usually just a bill)
2. It's my understanding that all testing facilities are ran by (private I guess) companies that win the bid to run them.
A. For example, the term MARTA (which most middle tennesseans call emissions testing)comes from the name of the company that DID have the contract to run them.
B. Davidson county and Wilson county emissions testing is ran by two different companies. Davidson county testing is 9 dollars and Wilson is 10.



Edit: Private as in, maybe a garage that has the equipment to test before you take it in?
