Hoods that hinge from the front are a total PITA to do anything under the hood. You can only access from the sides. Older Honda's 2nd gen Accords and Prelude's opened this way and completely sucked. 
I just thought it would look cool when the hood was up.

I know it is a 4 cylinder, where the dipstick is, the battery, the valve cover, exhaust manifold - but me no touch. No pinch no pinch.
