So..........I have this noise.......not enjoying it so far. It's a squeaky, squeaky noise from the rear driver's wheel. It does it when I'm driving, and when turning right, but not left. Is it like a wheel bearing or something? It seems to be coming from the outside of the wheel like around the brake, but I don't think it's the brakes because it doesn't do it when I brake. Perhaps my rotor is warped? It doesn't shake when braking though.......Enough of my ramblings. Anyone else had anything similar? I'm sad.
Could be the wheel bearing or the pad, hard to say without hearing it.

Symptom of wheel bearing/hub issue: intermittent grinding/squeaking sound from wheel at low speeds when off throttle Sound increases proportional to speed until about 35mph when the sound goes away. Sounds almost like a warped rotor rubbing, but applying brakes does not affect the sound at all.
I'll have to double check about when applying the brakes. I checked the pads but they look like they've got plenty of meat left on them. Ohhh how I love (and yet hate) you technical forums. Looks live I've got some reading to do. Just in time for SESM too. Maybe I can get everything I need before then.

Russ ... if you need another set of ears to help out, feel free to stop by on your way home from work.

Thanks for the offer. I'm kinda scared to drive it now though. I've just noticed this noise yesterday but I'm not sure how long it's been going on. It may have only just gotten loud enough that I can hear it. Do you have any idea how long it would last driving on it like that before it just locks up? It doesn't look as if that part is very expensive and I'm going to try and order all the parts I need today. It just seems like I'll have to take it somewhere to get the bearing pressed out and the new one pressed in. Perhaps I can rent the tool somewhere instead of having to buy the Honda one for $150. I'm probably going to tear it down tonight or tomorrow and see if I can be sure that's what it is. Also, do you think I should replace the other side at the same time or would it be ok to leave it? Dude, lots of questions.....

You can still beat the hell out of the wheel bearings as they go. I know a few people that AutoX'd on them.

Russ you better make sure that is the problem before you go ordering parts and renting equip.

Remember my situation????!?!?!?

Learn from my dumb ass mistakes.

Also is it a high pitched sound?
is there any vibration?

The wheel bearings I've heard had a cyclical sound to them. Deeper in tone than a simple brake rub.
