Haven't had this happen to me......yet.

I did have a strange noise a few years back...but it ended up being the Rear Brakes......a high pitched sound that was more noticeable when backing up....

The wheel bearings I've heard had a cyclical sound to them. Deeper in tone than a simple brake rub.
Yes It's not as high pitched as a brake sqeaking. And it's not constant. It has a rhythm to it. You can hear it up to about 30 or 35 and it's only noticeable when going straight or turning right and putting more weight on the driver wheel.

Using the brakes doesn't seem to make any difference in sound, but I'll have to recheck that. I'm not sure if it does it in reverse or not.

You can still beat the hell out of the wheel bearings as they go. I know a few people that AutoX'd on them.
That's good to know that at least I can drive it some until I figure it out. I've got another set of rear brakes and I can slap them on to see if that's it.

That guys gonna go shopping now! It looks like he already sold your wheels to someone else too.........

It sucks sending a bunch of money to someone over the internet that you pretty much just have to have faith that they'll mail your parts you paid for doesn't it? I always get nervous. I've never even sent a lot of money either, just a little.

Yep, this is a pretty big deal, we talked this morning so everything seems to be progressing fine. I'm just extremely anxious because, yeah, we're talking about some serious $$$ for me anyways... All of our PM's have been great though so I just got to sweat it out.

I'd be willing to say most people on here are pretty good about selling and buying. I haven't had any trouble so far. There's always a few though. I'm sure everything will work out as planned for you. Especially from Nhan, he seems to be a stand up dude and has been around for awhile.

I totally mauled his name this morning. I'm sure I sounded like the prototypical redneck:

"Hay mane, yeah buddy Ima get me them thar wheels - jest hold tight I gotta rustle me up some more money - mane, them wheels is killer-bad mane, they killer." YeeeW!!! Schit-far!
