have any mechanical issues out of it? the one thing i did notice about the c5 is how every part seems to creak and rattle after awhile...fortunately the GTOs body work is tight and extremely quiet

OMG creak and rattle city. - the steering column had a recall - I found this out after mine locked up - the cracked my windshield getting it out then denied it other than that - the tabs that held the targa top in place were connected to the carpet and not the car so those were shot almost immediately and the targa top was tinted plexiglass and was one gigantic spider web of cracks. other than that it was just a generic red c5 coupe with black interior and was a dream on the highway (that was the only redeeming factor to me) otherwise it was "MEH"

yeah the C6 is alot better off than the C5 as far as body quality...and I was amazed at the GTO...its so quiet with the windows up its not even funny...and it does have an impressive audio system from the factory but other than that, i just miss the whole nature of the s2000...but definetly dont miss the lack of space considering it was my daily

yep, that's pretty much how my SS convertible is. very archaic feeling but a beast of a motor. very old school. it's like night and day going from the chev to the honda.

I am disappointed with the C6 because I really thought they were going to get smaller and more of a rounded shape and they really didn't do much at all with it. "surprise!" the shape is still the same - just some subtle differences imo. That's GM for you though.
