I think there are those of us who have been smart enough that we can still splurge when the good deals come around. Knowing when something is too much is the problem for too many people. plus they plan to worry about the expense later, and then can't is another problem. I went out and got a new camera, but it won't break the bank and I have 18 months to pay it if something bad happened with work. I always try and use the Bestbuy interest free deals, just incase something happens I have time to figure out how to pay it. In the mean time I divide the total amount by the months I have interest free minus 2. Then It is paid for 2 months before they can hit me with any penalities. Plus I can use that time to use my money as I need. Planning is the big part of the equation.
