The police are fairly reasonable everywhere so long as you're not acting like a lunatic. Tennessee has some of the best cops in the south where traffic enforcement is concerned. They won't pull you over unless you give them a real reason. Usually.
The Dragon is an exception at the moment and that will fade shortly. They're on a campaign to slow everybody down there. New management in Nashville flexing muscle and all that.
The only other exception I know of is Benton TN. They suck. Period. I'm pretty sure their whole budget is funded by traffic fines.
