Question CEL
Hey sorry i am in a rush and gotta run, but maybe you guys would know would your CEL come on when your oil gauge gets to 30%, im just worried cause i did get my first road kill yesterday, poor squirrel and just did not want that to be the reason like something went up into the engine or some freak accident??? i dont know, ill get back to this post gotta run.
no the CEL will not come on. The oil light would come on if you lose oil pressure ...... unfortunatly thats about it unless there is soemthing very wrong. If thats the case the CEL WILL kick on and flash at you. If it does kill the car IMMEDIATELY and get it towed someplace.
I personally think its a bit rediculous that they have it set up when if you dont tighten the gas cap three click the CEL will come on but not if you are below 50% in oil. just silly......then again checking the dip stick on a regular bases prevents that.....but still.

Okay so i went to autozone and got them to run a check on the CEL and pull the codes, they pulled P1172 twice, and P2a00 twice, they did not have a clue and told me to go to honda, but since it was already to late, i decided to come here next best thing.
So i found that this has been a problem with 06-07 they get this a lot and it has to do with this - via copy and paste
Ok, the air/fuel sensor is similar to an oxygen sensor, except that it tells the computer the exact air/fuel ratio of the exhaust, as opposed to the O2 sensor, which has a much limited range, and doesn't actually tell the computer what the A/F ratio is. What is happening is when the engine warms up, the moisture that has collected in the intake/motor/exhuast can contaminate the A/F sensor and cause it to burn out/malfunction. If your car doesn't have any problems, don't worry about taking it to the dealer. Most likely the problems are related to certain environmental conditions that are not experienced everywhere.
also in other terms i need to go to honda so they probably can replace my a/f sensor.
I think it might be a result of maybe the difference from cali to here????

I wouldnt waste your time at Honda. Theyll try to charge you a rip to fix it if there is anything wrong AT ALL. I honestly think your car is fine, and I know sometimes there is a "whack the map sensor" fix for things. Search for that, and itll come back with good results. If nothing else, youd at least be alright to come up here on Saturday!
