Trusted S2000 Mechanics in Knoxville
Hello!
I am planning to have a valve adjustment done this summer and I don't trust the dealer to handle it nor do I have an interest in doing it myself. I called Lee's last year for an estimate and was pretty happy with the cost, but ended up not pulling the trigger. I wanted to ask here and see if there were any recommended shops in the Knoxville area. I know there are threads discussing this, but they were a few years old, so I wanted to get some updated opinions.
Thanks!

We have some Honda certified techs that can chime in. I know it's not difficult, as I've checked mine myself before. It's not a difficult DIY.
Wish I could be more help, but I wouldn't know of any shops in Knoxville, sorry.

Go to JT Grail at Freedom Motorworx in Clinton. Very good dude and very knowledgeable. He did the LS swap in my car, which will be at Cars and Coffee next week by the way, and I couldn't be happier. Tell him Ryan went you.

Is this the big cars and coffee that happens once in the spring? Can you post some details? I am leading a team from the Dragon event to the c&c and then a brunch at Copper Cellar. Join us if interested!

Yes sir, it's the Harper Auto Cars and Coffee at West Town Mall from 8-12 on Sunday April 30th. I will be in a group with Freedom Motorworx. We plan to actually get there around 6 am for a good spot. As far as I know, My car is the only S2000 with a v8. that will be there.

Addicted Performance in Maryville is known to do quality work. They quoted me $150 for a valve adjustment. Granted I ended up doing mine myself, if you have the tools and a couple hours on the weekend, it's worth the trouble. Then again I love fiddling with my baby and don't trust others to do the work unless I HAVE to. With that said, when I'm ready for a new clutch or forced induction, addicted will be who does it for me. I've also heard JT's name come up in car group for doing good work as well.

Hi, Gang - Knocking on this thread to see if I can locate a reputable, dependable S2000 shop in the Knoxville-to-Chattanooga corridor. Relocated to Athens, TN from N California about a year ago and my 2006 stock AP2 work up a few days ago needing an oil change. I'm willing to take it to a dealer for that service, but I would enjoy finding someone who can also provide more S2000-specific mechanical and drivetrain TLC. The days of being able to do my own work are far behind me. But I still love the S2k as my daily driver and especially looking forward to taking it on the roads of East Tennessee.
I saw the recommendation for Addicted Performance but but I'm not impressed with their Google or BBB reviews.
