Default 2004 the last S2000????

I heard from someone at a Honda dealership that 2004 is going to be the last production year of the S2000. Can anyone verify this info????

If that is true then I better take care of my baby, it's value might go up.

I think everyone here is pretty confident NOT trusting just about anything related from "someone at a Honda dealership"...

Here we go again. Every few months, there's a few threads like this. The thing is, if it continues, one day the production will end and and we won't be able to do this anymore.

C'mon Ramon...I'd expect better of you than to believe salespersons' rumors. If any such news leaks out of Honda, I'd be willing to bet we know about it before the dealers do!

The engineers at Takanezawa said they will keep building them as long as people are buying them. Looks like your appreciated value hopes just went up in smoke, Ramon!

My dealer said 2001 was the end of the car... of course this is rediculous. Honda wouldn't (couldn't) have made this kind of investment for just a few years. The car has too many unique parts for such a short run.

I'm looking forward to whatever happens in 2003... traditionally this is when some updates should occur. Per the veterans of the Japanese trip to Honda, there won't be any major engine changes (nor i-VTEC), but perhaps the interior will get some work. I don't know what could be made better on the outside!

I would like to see some bigger brakes, and taller rollhoops... just in case anybody from Honda is watching!
