Just wait...TX 130 is likely to have an 85 mph speed limit from Mustang Ridge (a bit south of the airport) to Seguin. Seems like the higher the state sets the limit, the more the private contractor pays the state!

Thats good and all but whats with this 65 mph bs at night? I have been here a year now and can't figure it out? The only thing about the 80 mph is that the trucks wont be able to stop as fast as us and we are more likely to get run over by the people who have to make up for some things.

There's a speed limit ????

Seriously though .... they ought to do as in Europe, limit the speeds of trucks to about 10-15 mph less than cars ... and make sure all maintain lane discipline ... i.e no left lane squatters ... German autobahns come to mind.

Ins't Wyoming a no speed limit state or something?

Montana used to be no limit but were forced to when the %% went into effect long ago. Once that happened they had a $5 highway speeding charge. You paid the cop right there and are on your way.

I grew up around there and we could count on $5-$15 to get across the state

It is that way in many states ... there is less visibility at night and the roads do not have lighting like some states have.
