Umm, rest assured that is not a quote of anything that I said. Why would I even compare my '08 with a clean title and less than half the miles.

I probably as a first impression sId something more like; it looks like a really nice car for the price.

I could not see any evidence that the car had been in a frame rack, but I can say with 100% confidence that the front bumper has been replaced. The front quarter may have been replaced, and the whole passenger side of the car has been bondo'd and painted. There are still some panels on the car that are not completely straight, including the trunk and both rear quarter panels. There is a tear at the base of the soft top on the passenger side. The drivers rear quarter has a bend and some rust where it was impacted by the taillight in the collision. The front lip was painted without proper prep work, and some of the prep work on the panels is rough.

I find it very hard to believe that you were completely unaware of any of this, yet there is no mention of these things in your ad. If I'm venturing to guess, I would say that based on the smell and some of the items in your garage you had a hand in the bodywork on the car. The garage reeked of solvents, and there was a table covered in paint overspray. I may not be as sharp mechanically as some of the folks on here, but my attention to detail is astounding. While you may not have photoshopped the pics you were very strategic in taking pics that didn't reveal any of the defects. If you had a hard time capturing the defects in your images just let me know and I'd be happy to share the pics I took on my camera phone.

I was going to keep my mouth shut and not list specific issues I saw on the public forum, but then you chose to drag me into this.
CBR, we both know you said it was a deal at first, if you thought differntly by the end of your inspection that didnt change what you said originally.

As far as my garage reeking of auto body smells, let me ask did you see and air compressor, any tools, did you see my walls how they were perfectly white?

Im not trying to cheat anyone, I frequently blaze and upon my inspection of the car with the previous owner he pointed out all the VIN stickers. Ive learrned now some ways to identify a car has been repainted.

CBR I would love if you could please share those pictures from your phone

I'm about ready to close this thread. You said all the paint was original and all body panels were original, when in the pictures one can clearly see that the front bumper is a DOT-approved replacement that is lacking the VIN sticker on the 'tab' toward the driver's side by the radiator. You lied and mis-represented the car. Period. It didn't take somebody going out there to inspect the car more closely to reach that conclusion. I don't see any reason why he should have to post up additional pictures when your own pics proved you to be a liar.

This item is now marked as sold in the FS thread. I hope if it actually sold that the buyer knew what they got.

The buyer got a car as fast and clean as yours for about 13000 cheaper than you paid.... he's also buying a civic off me this week

I pointed out the missing vin sticker and it didnt bother him much

Salvage title + body damage does not equal "as clean as" a non-damaged later-model car.
