Austin S2k owners
Hi, my name is Mikhal, and I'm trying to decide which car to buy, and among my list is the S2000. I've visited all the dealerships in Austin, and they showed me the S2000, but won't let me test drive unless I have full intent of buying it from them.
I was wondering if any Austin owners would be so kind to let me take their S2000 around the block/highway. I'm a good driver, and have been doing autocross for several years... never wrecked anything. I'd really like to get behind the wheel of one, cause you really can't tell what a car is like until you drive it.
I can reciprocate by letting you drive my daily driver/race car 87 Corolla (http://www.geocities.com/ae82power). Doesn't have a 9k rev limit, but does have an 8k redline =)
Please PM me.
Thanks!

I think just going for a ride in one would sell you on them....
If you don't know if the S2k is the right car for you, you probably don't want to buy one. This is a car that you should have no doubt in your mind that you want it, and you want to drive it like it was meant to be driven.

no, no.. i'm sorry if i made myself unclear... i'm pretty sure I want one, but am looking at other cars as well. I feel that since I'm spending $33k, might as well see what other $33k cars are like
So can anyone at least let me have a ride in their car??? Please!
Thanks,

If you want to come down to San Antonio, I'll give you a ride in my car that you'll never forget.... You will be very surprised, even with the tires I have on my car (which are completely bald on the back set).

I knew I wanted one the first time they came out. I bought the first one I ever test drove, just felt right. I'm a honda person. Never had a doubt that the car would run the best.

Good thing Sonda's got you covered. I would have offered, but my car is on jack stands while I get tires mounted, rotors refinished, and pads changed out. You can feel free to drop by and play pretend with "vroom vroom" noises in the drivers seat, though

Hm, you might be able to get a used car dealer to let you go for a test drive. Apple Sport Imports on 2222 let me drive a '01 S2k and Classic in Round Rock let me drive one also.
