Default auto theft

Hey guys i haven't been on here in like a year or so, been super busy with work and school, but just wanted to put the word out to keep an eye out for guys targeting s2k's. I was woken up by my neighbor this morning to break the bad news that my car was sitting on bricks. Upon seeing my car i noticed that the top was slashed and of course NO SEATS!! i don't expect to ever find the person who did this but my wheels are unique. they are the sunk face work emotion kai's in gunmetal. so if you see them around or for sale i would appreciate a shout on here or something because i don't despise may things but a thief is one of them. My s2k is an '01 and I'm hoping that it isn't totaled but a rough estimate from my dealer said the top and seat would run me $8100 without installation !!! and adding on the wheels, tires and stereo it doesn't look good. but just letting people know to watch your cars and try to keep it in covered parking if you can. oh and i live in Schertz so people around that area i would make sure your cars safe and tucked in at night. no need in ending up like me.

I'm so glad I got a garage for my s2k after my Integra was stolen from my apartment complex.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have the same exact rims, except in a different offset. Check craigslist in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Dallas; you might be able to see it pop up there and contact the police about it. The seats will definitely bring the bill up because they have to order all of the pieces from Honda and actually put it together so it's labor intensive. Best of luck to you.

Sorry to hear about your loss. This is one of the main reasons I am always scared to bring my S2K down to SA from Austin. On this board and texasracers.com all I see are posts about our cars being broken into down in SA.

I too keep mine in a garage.

ditto add more details. did your seats have any weird tears? you can get a top for 600 or so on the marketplace and i can help you install for free! i had to do mine a couple months back when my top was slashed. the radio and seats you can find on craigslist or marketplace. DONT listen to honda when they tell you that much... i would get an invoice from them and then take it to your insurance... show us some pics of the car and stuff, ill keep an eye out at meets and such 1604 at the academy would be a good start
