Default Big Scare!

Well sunday morning at 5:30am when the down pour in san antonio is at its max i began my journey to work! driving down the road i notice theres a good half inch of water streaming down my street and get weary of my drive to work... but because of my unwilling dedication to my work i set out anyways crusing at about 10mph in 2nd trying to keep rpms low... not even a half mile down my street im greeted with a 1 foot cross stream on the road which was unvisibile to me because it was literally pitch black with the occasion of bright lightning flashes and sever down pour! my car stalls instantly and i then notice what im up against as i exit my vehicle to inspect! my nose is dipped down into the water! i am then determend to save my baby and push her up hill! in the storm! against a downhill stream which has progressed from a half an inch to maby an inch! took me 40 mins of pushing till i finaly arrive back home! (40 mins to push her half a mile probably a bit less) im exhausted completely soaked and my spirit is broken! so i work on my car all that day, took apart CAI to find water, so i know im ****ed there ... so completely remove CAI, take of throttle body and continue to dry everything out including intake manifold which has a mini pond chillin inside... next i take the ignition coils and spark plugs out to dry them... drain my oil ( in which i find about a gallon of water pour out before the oil begins ) and begin flushing out the engine by manualy cranking it and attempting to start W/O spark plugs so it shoots any remaining water out and let the rest dry over night! finaly replace oil once and start her up and THANK GOD she RAN!!!!!!! drained, and changed oil and oil filter again and so far shes been doing fine! please wish me luck in the long haul. This un intentional ignorance almost cost me the love of my life! just thought id share my story with everyone. but so far shes been running fine i think since i was in low rpms it just locked the engine up but didnt cause any damage... just did my second test drive today out on the streets and she did great!

No kidding, I need to get rid of my v2. I get scared of puddles when I'm driving in the rain.

Call in sick or tell them its not safe to drive into work when its pouring like that

I have alternate routes to get in and out of my neighborhood when there is a downpour and I avoid all of the spots that commonly flood.

Glad she's running again.

Doh. I'm glad she's running again but you definitely need to replace the cold air intake (YOU TOO HISHAM). K&N FIPK FTW.

Yeah, but it's always those odd-ball times that you get stuck somewhere or need to be somewhere and it pours like crazy!
