Default College Station vehicle inspections

Hello all,

I'll be moving to College Station in a couple months and was wondering if anyone knew how inspections were. Do they do an OBD check? I know in San Antonio they didn't, and it was just the basics. I'm sc'd with a vortech blower and aem ems. Thanks!

College station is not in an emission county according to https://www.tceq.texas.gov/airqualit.../overview.html

however, you will need to have a functioning OBD2 port to pass safety.

Thanks. I was set on upgrading to the aem infinity, however this information does change things a bit. The megasquirt preserves OBD, but I really wanted the infinity's motor protections. I wonder how difficult it is to find a friendly gas station. Also, strange San Antonio hasn't started ODB checking considering how large a city it is now.

Unless I'm mistaken, that vote lifts the vehicle safety inspection not the emission inspection.

you are correct. 17 counties will still require emissions testing.
