First Kill
Thanks, guys. I harp on David a fair amount, but my advice is sincere and based on a lot of experience (mine and others) - I really don't want to see anyone get hurt, and newbies don't always have a good support system of more experienced/level-headed riders to help them be as safe as possible.
I used to have a certain feeling of invicibility myself, but visiting friends in critical condition at the hospital (one of whom has never regained his full mental capacity) and attending friends' funerals really hits home.
I came within hours of dying myself, but that was from a MX crash. Fortunately, I've never crashed on the street.
Motorcycling has to be the funnest, most exciting thing you can do w/ your clothes on, but that can change in a heartbeat w/ a tiny mistake (not just yours, but anyone around you, too). Despite the risks, once it gets in your blood, it's almost impossible to give up. Crack addiction can't be any stronger!
