I haven't decided who I'm tuning with. I know and trust Precision R but have really good things about a guy named Justin that used to run SCI Motorsports. And beginning of October is looking good.

Be careful with Precision R. They seem friendly when talking to them but I have a friend whose motor was "built" incorrectly by them. They apparently used teflon tape to seal the oil pan among other things. Just double check the work they do.

Wow.. you mind going into details on what type of car and when the work was done?

Did your friend go back to them and tell them the issue? Did they correct the issue?

Same questionable response to this... Will is a well of information. He completely disassembled and rebuilt my motor when I spun a rod bearing and installed my ACT clutch/flywheel setup. Now I did have an issue after the rebuild but we talked about it and it had nothing to do with his work, just crappy universal O2 sensors the previous owner had installed. They locked reading rich, I believe but can't remember as it's been about 4 years, and thus destroyed the motor. He was even patient when it took me a few months to order the parts myself as he buys from the dealer. He is a bit pricey as Gus has stated in the past but well worth the money for piece of mind...

I've heard stories from 2 members of our group with Precision R. I won't disclose to much because I don't remember all the details, I'll leave it up to them to chime in.

One member had issues on their older RX8. Car went in for a simple repair came out with a new wiring harness that was obviously not the original and was a shitty jimmy rigged hack job along with a few other issues. They could not reach an agreement on how to resolve the issue

Another member took in their S2000 for a custom turbo build and tune, not sure on details but it wasn't pretty, and they could not resolve the issue

Hopefully one or both of the above members can share their experience with you.

My experience:
I visited their shop once, and they seemed like very knowledgeable and friendly guys. I've heard more people praise them on their work than complain about issues.

Everyone will have their own experience with Precision R, and unfortunately not all can be good. I have seen Will take in an S that had a "custom" turbo kit from Noribilt that was horribly put together and redo almost the entire kit to get it running right.
