well as it states i need to get a hardtop painted. I took the more risky path and purchased the cwings mugen replica with hardware. The top looks like any other aftermarket piece that i have seen unpainted and such. It obviously needs to be prepped, sanded and all the other good stuff to be in good shape to paint and come out good. Well I received it yesterday and took it to a local Slim's body shop by my place and the guy giving me a quote sounded like he didn't work at a paint shop. He told me he didn't know if they would be able to paint a hardtop and kept asking me if it was aftermarket and why it had no back window. well long story short he said he had to go in the back to ask his manager if they would be able to paint it and after a few minutes talking he came back and said that my top would need 14 hours of body work to get it ready to paint and they wanted $1200 to paint the top ! I laughed and left quietly. I'm sure this can't be what every body shop is going to try and charge me to get my top painted. So just sending a shout out if anybody knows a good local place that they would recommend i would appreciate it.

the shop tht painted my car did a pretty good job for a decent price
it was northwest paint and body on fredricksberg and i10
and they did it a reasonable time too

Jacks Paint Place - Converse. Painted my HT and left side of my car. Also did an entire repaint of a well-known members SSM AP2 here as well. Great work - Not cheap but they do GOOOOOD work.
