I don't think his budget at the moment allows the purchase of coilovers or high-end shocks. Unfortunately in this hobbie/sport you have to "Pay to Play". Springs are mainly for getting rid of the fender gap and just for looks. It's going to be hard for budget-priced springs to compete with something that Honda spent years researching and developing. I think he said these are more of a temporary solution until he can afford the coilovers.

^^^ Still a waste of money IMO, considering that the OEM springs and shocks are a well-matched pair. I can accept that owners have a diverse range of priorities, but I cringe about the thought of paying to degrade my car's performance.

If money is tight, it's not a bad idea to either save it for a rainy day, or spend it on track time - which is a "mod" that goes w/ you from one car to another.

cool. I actually like the sticker look a lot. got a link to where you got yours?

When I got my car, one of the first things I did was get the eibach pro kit springs. I decided springs rather than coilover obviously for the price.. however if i ever need new shocks, the cost of shocks+springs are about as much as coilovers.

and to everyone else i do understand that its not the best thing but im tired of having the 4x4 look with my 18s. i just want to drop it a little just for looks now i have to finish my datsun before i start putting money into the S. and trust me i want coilovers but my datsun is first im going to be putting the new motor into the datsun soon getting coilovers for the datsun soon too. and maybe later on in the year get the fender flares, bre spoiler, and bre front spoiler!
