Replace Soft Top San Antonio
 

Anybody have any suggestions of shops that can replace the top on my '05 in San Antonio or Kerrville area? Does anyone have experience with the different brands out there?

bumping for response. I need a new top myself and would love to find a local shop that could do so.

I decided to go with Peña Brothers Upholstery, Rudy is going to put on a Robins top. They seem very professional and are Robins certified dealers. The top comes with a 4 year guarantee and he said that he will instruct me on how to take care of it so that it should last 20 years.

Got Max back (Max is my S2K) with his new cloth top and he is looking sharp! Gotta give a shout out for Rudy Pena of Pena's Upholstery! He went above and beyond great service and beautiful workmanship. The factory had shipped the wrong top and he pulled a bunch of strings, got the right one shipped by bus the same day and got the car out on the day he promised! Will post pictures later.

Congrats! I need to replace my soft top before I let my baby go...

Glad to hear good service from Peña Brothers Upholstery. For future reference I also replace soft tops for S2000s and Miatas and I usually charge $500 if you bring the top to me.

Do you do additional repair work on S2000 in addition to top replacement?

Not officially since I'm usually pretty busy but figure I could schedule soft-top installs. Reason being is a friend of mine took his NC Miata to a shop and they wanted to charge him $800+ in labor so I gave him a break in price to help him out. Figure that with the extra costs through a shop you're helping them pay for the space and also their insurance and possibly warranty if they offer one. Pros & Cons.
