Default Serious crash

Formula 1 fans probably heard that Lotus-Renault driver Robert Kubica suffered a horrible accident while participating in a club rally last weekend. While watching the video I couldn't help but notice similarities to Lime Creek Road and The Three Sisters. Unfortunately the driver glanced off a stone church wall and spun only to be skewered by a section of guard rail. Kubica's right leg and arm were crushed and his hand almost severed by the guard rail that penetrated his foot well and traveled through the cabin.

Kubica's recovery from rally crash

Kubica was fortunate to survive and is showing promising signs of recovery. His return to F1 and likely his career are under threat. Kubica is no stranger to high speed accidents after surviving a pair of previous crashes and writing off a rally car in the same event two years ago.

Just shows what can happen if you try to drive like a pro rally driver :-(
