I see scuff marks on mine from the inside as well. I also noticed a pin-sized hole on the passenger side so I need to take care of this asap before it gets any worse.
or, just buy a new one... and sell the old one to meeeeeeee

I'd rather use the money to pay off my S or for mods down the road.

found out this guy name Rudy at Pena referred me to a Roy Pena.
He does vinyl repair, our rear back is a common problem unfortunently.

He said $100 bux for a small repair, kind of pricey but if its done well, I will elt you all know and how long it holds up and warranty, etc...

Ok so I got my softop repaired not long ago.
It took about 1 hr and the guy is very knowledgable, honest and imo, good.

If you all need softop repair, give him a call at 210-688-3009
His name is Roy Pena~

Just tell him you were referred by another s2k guy name Wayne.

GL! Craig go get it fix before it gets bigger. The UV out there in summer as you know.. is STRONG!

thanks Wayne . I'll probably call him up sometime soon. How much did the repair cost you? And what did he/you do to prevent the problem from arising again in the future?

I would definitely like to know the price to. I've been meaning to get mine done for a while now and my procrastination is getting the better of me. The hole has grown pretty big now compared to what it started out as.

I mean it still hasn't prevented me from dropping the top . I do need it fixed before it gets worse, until I can afford a ht.

He still stook with the price he mentioned.

$100 but he ended up finding some other spots that will arise so he went ahead and patched it from the inside before it would start. Good guy man, so I feel I got my money worth. I still suggest you guys save up for a new softtop or hardtop down the road but to help is just keep maintaining your softop.

don't use Armor all or any water soluble, alcohol based. Those will make it crack even faster even though it may make it look shiny.

Also, there really isn't any guarantee since its determined by the weather and how many times you drop your top down.
