SoftTop Repair?

Thumbs down SoftTop Repair?

I just found a small rip on my soft top.
Was wondeirng if anyone have any experience repairing small rips on our vinyl soft tops or know of a reliable and experienced shop for small soft top controvertible repairs?

I've got the same thing Wayne. Mine appears to be the top being worn down fron the inside. I believe due to some of the moving parts of the frame, while being put down.

Its a small rip on the rear passenger but top, not really side. Its basically near or on or by the metal horizontal bar.

yea...I know what you're talking about. I believe it's caused by a metal hinge on the frame that rubs on the inside of the top when lowered. I know there is a thread in S2000 talk, I'll try to find it.

I believe Hisham is refering to the straps that run on each side. Those pertain more to the top be lowered completley. Over time when the straps lose their elasticity the top does not fully recess as it once did brand new. There is also a thread and fix for this as well.

That sounds cool, I'll try to find the links . All I know is my lil tear is making me want a HT more and more each day.

Yea, I want a HT but just wasn't expecting to get one right off the bat but now I may have to get it sooner.
