Default Third brake light modification

I'm looking for a third brake light. It needs to work, but does not have to be in perfect condition. Slightly damaged may even be ok. I plan to disassemble it and use the base to mount my JDP Engineering trunk spoiler. In its current state, I'm not happy with the alignment of the opening in the spoiler, and third brake light. So I plan to do some modifications to the assembly to get the proper fit. Anyone with LED know how can chime in too. I may just build a custom LED strip to fill the opening, and use the base to mount the spoiler.

The JDP spoiler utilizes the third brake light and 3M tape to mount. There is a slot that the brake light slides into, and helps hold the spoiler in place.

There is a 11.5"x 1" opening for the brake light to shine through.

Ill try to post some pics of the current configuration.

I've seen those. Those won't work with what I'm planning. My idea is more for getting the strip of lights to line up in the opening. What I was thinking was cutting a brake assembly, epoxying the red plastic to the spoiler so its aligned. Then I'd use the bottom half as the mount.

Possibly fabricating a custom light using leds, and flush mounted red plastic. Idk.. Maybe even modulating it.

I have a 3rd brake light sitting in my garage... Might be willing to part with it at the right price.
