Default Where to have top replaced in Austin?

Hey guys,

I'm going to have the soft top on my 2001 replaced. Anyone know of a good shop in Austin? Also, I'm wanting to move to the glass rear window and I'm curious if anyone else has done this.

Any ideas of what the price range is for top replacement on S2000's?

I think OEM ends up running about $1200-1500 bucks, and Robbins runs $600-800.

Hi all, my first post in a long time. When my seats disappeared a while back, Jeff's subbed the work out to Jims who did a great job on both the new seats and a new top. I went with the Robbins top - buying it from them direct. Am happy with the glass window. The top is not perfect - there is a seam that is a little rough, but is ok for me.

This weekend just turned over 100k miles. Clutch cylinder only mx so far cept for it drinking oil and eating tires.

I would really like to get my soft top replaced as the rips have gotten big enough to where I think they are unrepairable. Unfortunately prepping the Miata for the track is sucking up all of my money at the moment. I might look to do it myself to save some money.

Has anyone else had experiencing with replacing OEM with the Robbins?

I did my own swap to glass OEM version about 6 years ago and it is holding up well. It ran about $900 from HardTopGuy. DIY isn't too bad. Fortunately I had some help. You can save time by simply cutting away your old top cloth from the frame. Makes it much easier and faster to get at rain rail fasteners and other parts you'll be removing. At the time I had to source all of the straps and elastics but it was no big deal. Took good measurements and got the lengths right the first try.
