Dude that sucks...

Well, if you end up getting a new motor, maybe you can keep the blown one and do your Turbo/Mod/FixItUp super motor..

I hope everything turns out OK!

Thanks everyone!!!!

I appreciate the support. I haven't been on the boards lately due to the untimely demise of my S.

Anyone have a guesstimate as to how long it takes JEH to rebuild the motor?

2 weeks. I assume that they will be installing a long block? It took them 2 weeks to install a short block in my car. 1 week was for shipping the part in.

I didn't have my motor rebuild, instead, Goodson Honda gave me a brand spanking new motor. The process of shipping new engine from Japan and putting it in was 2 weeks. Great job as well as great customer service.

Keep us posted.

Hope everything turns out well for you Kewlwhip

On a side note, won't the dealership realize that you weren't maintaining the level of oil?

Ouch. I had a similar problem, but Honda of Clear lake didnt tighten the oil plug and all the oil drained out! Luckly I had Prolong engine treatment in, that stuff really worked!

I cant believe that there is no warning sticker somewhere on this car that would warn you that you can burn throuh all the oil. Not to mention, if the oil light malfunctioned, you should be covered.

Well they know now Sorry about the S..... ALLWAYS CHECK THE ENGINE OIL AFTER EVERY FILL UP!!! Especially during breakin and up to 10,000 miles. I check my oil at every fill up regardless of mileage.
