CD Changer / mp3 local install
I want to install a CD changer that will work with the factory head unit to read mp3 and track and title info. The electronics forum recommended the 10-disc Neochanger, cool! Anybody local have a good experience with a local installer - NW side of town would be great! - and this changer. What about the Honda accessory changer - does it have this capability? Thanks!
Consider just installing a HU with MP3 capability. WIth up to 10 CDs in MP3 format fitting on one disc, you get the same effect with possibly a lot less hassle during the installation. Might be cheaper, too.
That is what I said. Installing an HU w/MP3 takes care of a few problems. No changer to install, more power to the speakers, and better sound.
Since you live on my side of town, I will be happy to help you install whatever you end up with. Now it will take time, but you will learn how as well.

Get a Neo Car Jukebox made by the same company.

Drop the MP3 CD BS and do it the right way. Choose your HD size, 20GB, 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, 120GB. I've got a 40GB drive in mine and I am using less than 50% of it with over 350 Cds MPEG'ed at "near CD quality". They have a connector that will allow you to input the signal into the S2000 as if it was the CD Changer signal and it's just as easy to install as a CD Changer. I installed one in my S2000 years ago, moved it to the Insight, and now moved it to the Mazda. I haven't listened to the radio/CDs in years, but I do purchase all of my music. Although I can install such an item I'd refer you to the guy who did all of the stereo work in my S2000. He only charges as much as a standard CD Changer install to install the Neo. You can get the 40GB model for $350.
My install in the S2000:
Included LCD mounted under the stereo:
