Default Change fluids today...and?

I changed my tranny, diff, and engine oils today. My car feels a lot more refreshed and more responsive. Shifting is butter smooth (w00t).

I switched to Mobil 1 Synthetic to see if it did anything different. To my surprise my car idles really quiet and smooth. I used Penzoil Syncromesh for the tranny, and Mobile 1 for the diff. Overall, it was a blast doing this all today.

I recommend everyone doing this ASAP, especially their diff. Mine was completely black and had a metal shavings.

In all seriousness. I highly recommend changing the tranny and differential every 15k miles. As Trung noticed, it does make the car feel much smoother.

The differential will have metal shavings on the OEM magnetic drain plug and the OEM fluid is a funky black goop. Get that out now!

I should tell Honda to do mine since they have the car. I have 20K miles on mine. I kinda wanna do it though. Do you guys know what they will use as far as oils go? I know for engine oil changes, they like to use Castrol GTX.

Of course, I might be biased.

Hey, Joe -- question for you. For low-mileage cars, would you say something like "every 15,000 miles *or* every two years", or does time not matter in this case?
