Default Front License Plate

Anyone interested in dumping the state law requiring a front plate?

what are you saying? that we can just not obey the law? Whether it is illegal or not I still don't have a front License plate.

I hope your a great talker, because most of the time some of the small towns around Houston want the cash.

It certainly wouldn't hurt for us all to endorse the petition at

http://www.petitiononline.com/txplate/petition.html

. . . or at least see the site at

http://bimmer.roadfly.com/bmw/forums...6579445-1.html

S2Ks already look like we're speeding -- we probably shouldn't tempt the Trooper.

I was driving home to Beaumont from College Station in my last roadster and was rolling through Houston at about 2 a.m. When I saw the flashing lights behind me I was SURE the Houston cop would bid me a safe journey once he figured out I wasn't the DWI he was looking for. SOB wrote me up for 70 mph in a 60 (Oooo... 70 mph on I-10 - I'm a menace to society!) AND for having no front plate. I was not rude or uncooperative... Man, I'm used to getting no mercy from smalltown cops, but this guy was as chickensh!t as any podunk barney fife. Musta been quota time or something.

So, the front plate's staying on the S, for now...
