Any lowering spring will eventually wear the shocks out. Reason being, the oem strut is not valved for that particular lowering spring. How old/many miles are on your car right now? If its older and has quite some miles then look into changing to a set of coilovers.

it has 35,000 miles on it. was wondering if there are any meets where someone could just give the car a look over and see if everything is in good shape.
