The hole that im talkin about is on this thread ....Look for the 2nd picture, the guys taped up the hole so the water wont make its way to the filter and drip on it. Keep in mind that this only happens when the car is parked in rain.
I remember that thread from back in the day IMO, if you go with a CAI, stick with one where the inlet is higher up like J's, ASM, PWJDM, Gruppe-M.

Skyle, I see you've mastered the art of splicing threads as well

No prob man, just keep on checking the events calendar stickied up at the top to sign up for events you can make. We always have events coming up. Usually on the weekends so everyone can make them. Don't worry about being stock. We have plenty of members that still are. Heck, even I am back to basically stock .
and we make fun of you too, i keeed!

I splice I dice! with Tom's recommendation. Its harder to know what you've gain on these due to it making power when air is forced in. So dyno plots might be slightly skewed.

Butt dyno is flawed man. You doing the dyno dealie to see what power your car makes with the mods you have?

i hate the fear of hydrolock theory. YOU WOULD HAVE TO SUBMERGE THE WHOLE INLET OF THE INTAKE FOR AN N/A CAR TO SUCK UP WATER! unless your running FI or something with a high intake pressure dont worry about hydrolock, just dont drive through any lakes

that said i have run cai on countless other applications and never had a problem with hydrolock. it will however get your filter very dirty very quick so buy a reusable filter that can be cleaned
i will disagree on the hydrolock. it doesn't have 2 b fully submerged but it does take a bit of water to cause it

i was kidding on a serious note though, i do feel as if my car did quicker after my mods. i wanna say from the mix of slight power gains and slight weight loss

launch your car from a dig, if you go no where and you smell something burning you need a new clutch.
