Default Insurance, again...

Did anyone else see the rate on their S2000 increase lately?

Just got the latest "renewal offer" from Allstate, and my rate has increased by 8.85%. Liability, Pesonal Injury and Uninsured Motorist coverage remained the same, but Collision/Other than Collision were increased by $10 and $30, respectively. I guess that means that more people have crashed their cars in the last six months...

Anyway, I am pissed. Looks like I'll need to start shopping around again.

You think 8% is bad? Try 75%! Mark & I don't exactly have a "clean" record, but we're paying for it now, big time.

Auto insurance in Texas will never decrease. We're a high-hazard state, and Harris Co. is "territory one" for many reasons. Quit whining and cash your Allstate dividend check ~ and thank your lucky stars that you purchased your home for a reasonable price.

Dividend check? What dividend check? If there is indeed such a thing and it covers about 50% of my car insurance, I'll be happy.

And I am not too sure of that "reasonable" house price, either...
