Default Need S2K Advice

I just got my 2002 Honda S2000, and it's amazingly fast. Yet, I want more, so right now I'm taking a look at cold air intakes, spark plug wires, and mufflers. I'm hoping to get like 15+hp out of all this, and I am on a limited budget right now. Still in high school and could use some advice/help, live in Fort Bend area but willing to travel. Is there anyone out there that wants to help me get started on the street? Thanks in advance

Well the s2k doesnt use spark plug wires or a distributor for that matter. And is really far from amazingly fast.

The s2k is actually pretty slow when it comes down to it.And like Victor already said its not cheap at all getting it to get some power.Honda maxed the car out from the factory pretty dam good. You will get some minimal gains from bolt ons.Nothing you will even notice aside from sound differences. If you want power the easiest solution is forced induction.

But hey you just got your car.Enjoy it for what it is before you even start thinking of altering the power band.

Ahshan, if you have time, hang out with us at The Drivers Edge (driving school at Texas World Speedway). Sit in with one of the instructors and they'll show you how fast your car actually is. Regardless of whatever you think, you're probably driving 3/10's on the streets at best. 10/10's require diapers

Yeah dude, I would just enjoy the car stock. Budget and power do not run hand in hand.

If you are looking to fast down the strip you have picked the wrong car I figured that out real qiuck and it is far form a car that you can buy cheap power from. The most important thing is to learn how to drive the car and get the respect of it. I had to learn the hard way a few times but i think I finally figured it out.
