Default Need Some Help.

I am hoping some of you guys can help me since most of you are very knowledgeable, I was driving my other car (thank goodness), a 2002 TL type S, and it got flooded where i live. I almost maid it home but the engine cut out on me b4 i got there. I tried to re-start but to no avail. Anyways here's my question. The water got to the air filter and i'm pretty damn sure it got in the engine. Will the insurance company total the car? Or will they just replace the engine? I am not familiar with flood claims. Maybe some of you could help me out. the car has about 27k miles on if it matters. Any help would be appreciated. Let's just say i wouldn't be all too upset if it the insurance company decided to total it and give me a check or a new car. thanks in advance.

yes, i filed a claim about an hour after it happened. How do they determine if they replace the engine or total the car? I mean the water got into the passenger cabin also. It got as high as the the front and back seats.

The odds are, if water got into the car and the electronic got wet. they will total.

When I has my submarine ride in my S, the adjuster was just looking for a reason to total it and was very confused that there was no water inside the car.
