OT(offtopic): When programming actually kicks ass
Had a pretty tough couple of weeks at work. Was told of a deadline for a couple projects I'm working on, and I'm still pretty wet behind the ears. I'm not done, but have knocked out some good chunks of it. Nothing feels as good as writing code, debugging it until your hair falls out, and FINALLY having it not crash and work! On to the next task on the projects. It's not over...Man...I could use some drank.
Yeah, sorry, just felt like posting.

Welcome to the club. Cause I know what your feeling mang! I've been doing it for 12 years and nothing feels better than pushing your code to PRODUCTION! Now get that drank on!

aw, berry nice...I won't have to make any sites liek that, the apps the guys want around here are so simple. and the other side of my job deals with direct order fulfillment and working with BaaN ERP and flatfiles.
Complex or simple don't matter. It's what you can do for your peeps at work that will keep you around longer. Learn as much as you can in as many areas of your workplace and you'll be appreciated more. You might even be compensated more. Ante up!
