Whats a good way to make avatars that'll work, ie. 100 x 100 pixel and 5000 bytes. I have pics with mad resolution, and i can get the image size to work, but not byte-wise. Any suggestions?

When you save the pic save it in RGB colour mode as a .JPG file and adjust the JPG settings in the dialog box that appears. There is a slider labeled 'Large File/Small File'.

Alternatively use ImageReady to optimise the image to the size you want.
