I'm trying to change my avatar & it seems its too big even at 5k jpeg which is way to small on screen, I'm using mac will this effect this?. I've seen other peoples avatars @ 35k image size.

All these questions can be answered reading the FAQ at the top of the page - there is a section on posting pics, your photo album and avatars

 

hi Ian I tried to see this in faq & the page was not found.
like I said I'm on mac & theres no gif option to my knowledge

Thats the UK FAQ with links to other help etc Sorry cant type out instructions now, but i can later if you cant work it out from there.

You should be able to make a gif on a mac - what software are you using?
