So Matt do you still have your stock diff and stock head gasket?
I have a stock AP2 Differential and stock head gasket. Thicker head gaskets only cause problems, and you make less power on more boost.

I really want that pump...

I have the thicker head gasket and am shooting for 650'ish in the next month or so. Think I should take it off and go back to stock? I haven't had any problems or anything but I do notice the less power with more boost because I am making about 50whp less than what I should be. I am thinking of having my rev limiter turned down to 9,000 to make it a little more safe.

Also, do you launch the car at all or have any problems shifting it hard?

What setup are you running? What boost level are you at? How much power are you currently making? What fuel are you running, and what fuel are you going to run on the 650 hp setup?

I haven't had and problems shifting, I try not to power shift too hard. I haven't really launched the car hard, but doing light launches it has held up fine.

Going to be running a custom turbo kit with the full race manifold and a big enough turbo to make 900. I'll be running a daily tune at around 450 - 500 and have a flip tune for 650. Currently making 400 or so and I am running e85. I have a 455 pump or a 550 or something really huge. I'm running 2150 injectors.

I drive the heck out of it when I do boost it and I can't wait to get the wide body kit and put bigger tires on it cause it drifts bad above 7k. What kind of tires do you run? Also my car is a daily driver, so what you think about the head gasket? I'll probably wait till I blow the diff to get another one.

I'd stick with the OEM head gasket. You'll probably just blow it on the dyno otherwise. I'm on 255 Hankook Ventus V12's.

I'll blow they thicker head gasket? And dang I'm running 265 Michellins. Hopefully boost by gear will fix my tire slip problem.

You are going to put a big enough turbo to make 900hp on a car and only want 650 hp ? You are setting yourself up for a failure. You want less tire slip invest in suspension and stickier tires

Yes, you'll blow the thicker Head gasket. Boost by gear will help, but boost by gear is only used to kill power in lower gears. If you set the car up properly you may not need it.

I completely agree. Use a turbo that meets your power goal then another 50-100hp. Precision 6262/6266 should be plenty! If you tighten up the drive train (Differential, transmission, and Engine mounts) use slicks/ Drag Radials, and stiffen up the suspension that should fix the tire slip issue. It will also eliminate the need for boost by gear. It may shorten the life of your differential though.
