Thanks for the prayers. After this morning's report, it looks like SE Louisiana is Rita's target.

I pray that these people are able to evacuate safely. Take care up there.

Lest we forget... Current death toll from Katrina is at 1,069, with 832 from New Orleans.

Let's hope this won't happen again with Rita.

Katy will be okay, I think. I live around I-10 and Hwy 6, and looking at the latest forecast, I am well outside the cone (it keeps shifting to the east). Sustained wind speed now projected around 60-65 mph for our area -- I'd say that's manageable.
