Stolen seats

You guys should report this to the police and start pulling air conditioning dye on the rail. Use a brush and write stuff on the rail or pour into the rails other (hard to reach or clean areas). and other place that are hidden. Only ultra violet light will bring out the fluorescent color. Also unzip the seat cover and write something inside. This will help if your going to identify stolen seats. also alert the police of ways of identifying stolen s2k seats in other Honda's besides s2k. I am pretty sure cops don't like the ricer civic and integra. It's a long shot but it's worth trying. So I think adding air conditioning dye to all seats that are still in the S2000 now might have a slim chance in the future. At least there is a way of id' ing the seats. Also get seat locks with big stickers identify that it has seat locks.

thank you hondatech,
we have done a stamping procedure but, if you would like to get more in detail as what to mark our seats with and more importantly get the cops the tools to take us seriously feel free to PM me or Godmachine with us any ideas.
we have started to stamp seats. and will continue to do so with every meet i attend until one of our seats are stolen and we can put a thief behind bars.
my motto right now is one thief at a time

I hope they don't catch on and file off the stamps. Maybe if enough of you could get together and petition. Or go to something similar to CHP highway patrol I left out the c because it stands for cali and you guys aren't in cali) about how your seats are stolen and that there being use in other Honda vehicle which may violate safety laws. I don't know your highway/street laws about motor vehicle over there. Should start looking into that. Look for a vehicle code for your state and post up a link if you can. In the code book, it will tell you what you can and can't do. Swapping seats may cause the airbag system to not function properly violate the code if it's in there and the police have the rights to pull them over. Start an organization that can train officer in seeing these modified cars. They have a State of California Referee Smog program here were they train officer to inspect fix up Honda to see if the comply with state requirement. For example they pop the hood and be able to id if the motor is stock or they swap out the motor by id'ing the engine family and look for aftermarket parts that doesn't comply with Carb (California Air Resource Board). Maybe organize a city counsel meeting and address the growing problem and address how it can help increase there REVENUE and help the community. I am hoping that the revenue part will make them think about it. Since the seats are so expensive that they can earn high revenue since it's easy to pull the ricer over if the vehicle doesn't comply with safety regulation on the seat and bust them that way. Sorry my ideas might be way out there.
