Sucks to be me...
So, I was heading out to Phoenix yesterday to take part in the "S2000 in the Sun" meet tomorrow. 1,200 miles, 16 hours, it was all good. At least until right after I hit Tucson. It was dark, I am zipping along, and all of a sudden I see something lying on the road. No chance to break or change lanes. I hit it. Car jumps slightly, I hear a bang, but after that it just keep running. No tire damage as far as I could tell... There was a truck on the side of the road with his flashers on, so I suspect he lost part of his freight or something...
Anyway, this morning I take off the car bra, and lo' and behold, what do I detect?
Sucks.
I don't suppose you can repair damage like that, can you? So I figure I'll have to get a new bumper. What do these things cost anyway, about $800 to $1,000 or so including labor?
Need to see if the dealership where the meet takes place tomorrow has a body shop; perhaps they can give me some advice.
Anyone have a used bumper lying around I might buy/paint in case it comes to that?

Sorry about your bumper. It will have to be replaced since nobody I know has been able to repair damage like that.
Put your bra back on and forget about it until you get back home.
Have fun.

Oh, it was a good day. Fun drive, good food afterwards; put me in a very good mood. At least until I got home and found a rock chip in my windshield...
